Membership Requirements
Membership Requirements:
- Resident of the fire district, adjacent district, or a territory outside of the fire district that is afforded fire protection by the district
- Alternatively, you work within the district and will be able to render active service.
- Minimum age: 18 for firefighting, 17 for EMTs
Active Member Responsibilities:
(All training, protective clothing and gear are provided and paid for by the fire department)
1. In the first two years of active service the member will obtain training in either:
a. Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations (BEFO)
b. Emergency Medical Technician training (EMT course)
As well as participate in yearly CPR, OSHA, and NFPA training
2. Serve on one organizational committee and help with one dinner
3. Participate in 2 department events, as well as our 1st summer BBQ fundraiser
4. Pass yearly physical
